09/03/2018 1.

At the very outset, Shri Avinash Singh, learned counsel appearing for the respondents, would submit that the amount of compensation payable to the petitioner in lieu of use of his land for erection of HT electricity line has already been assessed and even a cheque for the amount due has been tendered to the petitioner, but he refused to accept the same on the saying that the amount is not adequate.

2.

Whether or not the amount of compensation is adequate is not to be dealt with in this contempt petition, therefore, the petitioner has to accept the amount offered to him and thereafter initiate the proceedings for enhancement of compensation before the appropriate forum.

3.

In view of the above, it is directed that the petitioner shall be handed over the cheque within a period of fortnight from today. 4.

Accordingly, the contempt petition stands disposed of. Sd/- Judge Gowri Prashant Kumar Mishra
