NAFR HIGH COURT OF CHHATTISGARH, BILASPUR CRMP No. 28 of 2018 • Ansari Din Mohd. Narul Aen ---- Petitioner

Versus

• State of Chhattisgarh ---- Respondent For Respondent/State :

Shri Anupam Dubey, Dy. Govt. Advocate.

Hon'ble Shri Justice Rajendra Chandra Singh Samant Office Reference 10/01/2018

1. This is an office reference based on the request letter sent by the First Additional Sessions Judge / Special Judge (N.D.P.S. Act), Jagdalpur praying for extension of time to conclude the trial, as the same could not be concluded as per directions given by this Court in MCRC No.5938/2017 by order dated 16.11.2017.

2. I have perused the office reference and the request letter.

3. While deciding the above mentioned matter, it was informed by the counsel for applicant that only one witness is left for examination, whereas the request letter shows that out of total 11 witnesses, only six witnesses have been examined so far and five witnesses are not yet to be examined. Thus, it appears that incorrect information has been supplied by the counsel for applicant. In this situation, the time as prayed for by the trial Court for disposal of trial is hereby extended.

4. The trial Court is directed to expedite and conclude the trial as early as

possible preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. The office reference is accordingly disposed of. Sd/- (Rajendra Chandra Singh Samant) JUDGE Nisha
