1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is non releasing of GPF amount payable to the petitioner.

2. According to counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner stood retired from service w.e.f. 30.04.2019 and on the date of retirement the petitioner had a credit balance in his GPF account to the tune of Rs.7,65,186/-, however till date the same has not been released to the petitioner and the petitioner has approached the authorities time and again for the same.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the State as also on behalf of office of the Accountant General submits that let the matter be disposed of for the authorities to duly verify and scrutinize the claim of the petitioner and on due scrutiny if any payment is to be made, the same shall be promptly considered and paid.

On the said submissions made by the counsel for the respondents, the writ petition stands disposed of directing the respondent authorities i.e. the respondents No.2 to 4 to immediately scrutinize the GPF account of the petitioner and if required the petitioner be also called upon for any personal clarification and thereafter to take an appropriate decision at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. If the petitioner is entitled for any GPF amount, the same be also released to him promptly with interest till the date of payment.
