Though learned counsel for the appellant would impress upon us by submitting that the criteria for selection was not strictly in accordance with the governing rules which provide for preference to be given to those having experience of working as Technician, at this distance of time, in our opinion the appellant could not be granted any relief because after filing of the petition, the process of selection was carried out in the absence of there being any interim order and the selections were completed and as the appointments must have already been completed, as observed by learned Single Judge, none of them being party before this Court even till date, no relief can be granted to the appellant and the issue is rendered academic.

We would however observe that the issue raised by the petitioner, the appellant in this appeal is not decided on its own merits nor the criteria shall be treated as bearing stamp of approval by this Court. Subject to the aforesaid observation, we are unable to extend any relief to the appellant, therefore, the appeal has to be dismissed and is accordingly dismissed.
