Hon'ble Shri Justice P. Sam Koshy Order On Board 27.11.2015 The petitioner through the present writ petition has claimed for two reliefs: firstly for grant of promotion to the post of Additional

Superintendent of Police and secondly for grant of senior pay-scale from the date his juniors have been granted.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that pending the writ petition before this Court, the petitioner has been promoted and he has also retired from the service.

At this juncture, counsel for the petitioner prays for disposal of the petition with liberty to raise the issue of granting senior pay-scale from the date his juniors have been granted by making a fresh representation before the Authority and in turn the authority concerned may by directed to decide the same on its merit. To this counsel appearing for the State does not have any objection.

Accordingly, so far as the claim of the petitioner for promotion is concerned, the same has become infructuous. So far as the claim of the petitioner for senior pay-scale is concerned, he shall make a fresh representation with detailed information regarding his claim before the respondents within a period of four weeks from today and in turn, the authority concerned shall decide the same as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observation, the instant writ petition stands disposed of.
