1. The limited relief that the petitioner has sought in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the office of the Accountant General for necessary action to be taken in the correspondence made by the Superintending Engineer i.e. Annexure P-2 dated 21.06.2019 whereby the Superintending Engineer has reflected erroneous debit
made from the GPF account of the petitioner to the tune of Rs.80,000/-. However, the office of the Accountant General has not taken any step in this regard.
2. Counsel for the Accountant General submits that let the matter be disposed of with a direction to scrutinize the GPF account of the petitioner in the light of the correspondence dated 21.06.2019 and an appropriate decision be taken.
3. The said submissions made by the counsel for the parties, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the office of the Accountant General to ensure necessary compliance to the order dated 21.06.2019 made by the office of the Superintending Engineer Annexure P-2 to the office of the Accountant General in respect of the erroneous debit being made from the GPF account of the petitioner.
4. Let due verification be done by the Accountant General with the records that are available with the PWD Department and an appropriate decision be taken within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
