Heard on IA No.7/2018, application under Section 5 of Limitation Act seeking condonation of delay of 1698 days in filing cross-objection. Considering the grounds mentioned in application, fact that no reply to this application has been filed by appellant and further considering that crossobjection has been filed by claimants seeking enhancement of amount of compensation awarded under the Motor Vehicles Act, which is a beneficial piece of legislation, we find it appropriate to condone the delay in filing cross -objection with a condition that cross-objectors shall not be entitled for any interest for delayed period.

Accordingly, IA No.7/2018 is allowed and delay in filling cross-objection is hereby condoned.

Cross objection is admitted for hearing.

With the consent of parties, appeal is heard finally. Order passed signed and dated separately.
