The petitioner has preferred this writ petition seeking grant of salary/pay scale of the post of Assistant Revenue Inspector from the date of promotion i.e. 19.6.2008. 2.

Shri Kesharwani, learned counsel for respondent No.3 would inform that the order dated 19.6.2008 passed by the Corporation whereby the petitioner was promoted on the post of Assistant Revenue Inspector has already been cancelled in the meeting of Mayor-in-Council dated 30.1.2012.

In view of the above, the writ petition appears to have been rendered infructuous. It is accordingly dismissed as having become infructuous. However, the petitioner would be at liberty to file a fresh writ petition seeking such relief which is admissible to him in view of cancellation of promotion.
