1. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though petitioner has been granted promotion on the post of Section Officer with effect from 24/12/2020 (Annexure D/3), but she is entitled for promotion with effect from 13/09/2011 for which she has already made a representation which is pending consideration before the respondent authorities, therefore, appropriate direction may

be given to the respondents to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner.

2. Learned State counsel would submit that petitioner's representation would be considered expeditiously.

3. Heard learned counsel for the parties at length.

4. Be that as it may, since petitioner has already been promoted on the post of Section Officer with effect from 24/12/2020 and her representation dated 07/01/2021 (Annexure D/4) for retrospective promotion from 13/09/2011 is pending consideration, therefore, respondents are directed to consider and decide petitioner's representation within 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order by passing a reasoned and speaking order. Petitioner is at liberty to file additional representation within two weeks. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.

5. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No cost(s).
