1. The limited relief that the petitioner has sought in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction for deciding the departmental appeal of the petitioner pending before the respondent no.2 against the order dated 20.01.2006.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents 2 & 3 does not oppose the limited relief that the petitioner has sought for.

3. In view of the submission made by the counsel for the parties, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondent no.2 to ensure that the department appeal preferred by the petitioner and which is pending quite for sometime be decided on its own merits in accordance with law at the earliest preferably within an outer limit of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
