The limited grievance that the petitioners have in the present writ petition is in respect of the inaction on the part of the respondents in not considering the promotion, which the petitioners are entitled for from the post of Laboratory Technician to the post of Technical Assistant.

According to the petitioners, they have repeatedly approached the authorities concerned to fill up the promotional posts, which are lying vacant and where the petitioners are fully eligible for the same.

Given the limited grievance that the petitioners have, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondents No.1 & 2 to take a decision in respect of the claim of the petitioners for promotion from the post of Laboratory Technician to the post of Technical Assistant at the earliest preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. 4.

With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
