NAFR HIGH COURT OF CHHATTISGARH, BILASPUR WPS No. 5414 of 2017 Subodh Mehta S/o Late Shrikant Mehta Aged About 49 Years R/o 15- A, Central Avenue, Smriti Nagar, Bhilai, District Durg, Chhattisgarh., Chhattisgarh ---- Petitioner

Versus

1. State Of Chhattisgarh Through The Secretary, Department Of Scheduled Tribe And Schedul Cast Development, Mantralaya, Naya Raipur, District Raipur, Chhattisgarh., Chhattisgarh

2. The Commissioner, Department Of Scheduled Tribe And Schedul Cast Development, Indravati Bhawan, Naya Raipur, District Raipur, Chhattisgarh., District : Raipur, Chhattisgarh ---- Respondents For Petitioner :

Mr. Vikas Dubey, Advocate for State :

Mr. Majid Ali, Dy. G.A.

Hon'ble Shri Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava Order On Board 22/01/2018 Heard.

Though time was earlier granted to the State to file reply but reply has not been filed till date.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied if direction is issued to the respondent No.2 to decide petitioner's representation.

I find that the petitioner has made several representations to the State and also to respondent No.2.

Considering that the petitioner resigned from service and appears to be aggrieved by non-settlement of his claims to which he is entitled, it would be appropriate to dispose off the petition, at this stage, with direction to respondent No.2 to examine and scrutinize petitioner's claim and take a

decision thereon within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
