1. The limited relief that the petitioners have sought for in the present writ petition is for appropriate direction to the respondent no.2 to consider the claim of the petitioners for regularization in service.

2. According to the petitioners, all the petitioners herein have put in more than 8 years of service and they are working against clear sanctioned vacant post and therefore the petitioners can be considered for grant of regularization. Contention of the petitioners is that, let authorities concerned take an appropriate decision on the representation of the petitioners for regularization.

3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioners, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondent no.2 to consider the claim of the petitioners for regularization in accordance with law and policies governing the field.

4. Let appropriate decision be taken at the earliest preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. While taking a decision respondents shall take into consideration the circular of the State government dated 05.03.2008 if it would be applicable in the case of the petitioners.
