The present Appeiiant has been convicted for the offence punishable under Section 20(b) of the N.D.P.S. Act, and sentenced to undergo R.l. for three years.
2. A report dated 10.07.2016 has been received from the Jail Superintend, Raigarh which is on record, giving the information that the Appellant has already completed his entire jail sentence of 3 years and has been released on 05.12.201 on completion of the sentence.

Learned Counsel for the Appellant on the basis of the report makes a submission that since the Appellant has already undergone entire sentence and even after release from the jail in the year 2001, the Appellant has never tried to contact him on whether the appeal is to be pursued further or not, he does not
@ intend now to challenge conviction on the Appellant. Hence, he does not intend to pursue this appeal any further. 4.
ln the light of the submissions made by the Counsel for the Appellant, the instant appeal at this juncture has become infructuous.

Accordingly, the present Criminal Appeal is dismissed having become infructuous.
