Grievance of the petitioner is that the paddy which the petitioner has cultivated in his land is not being purchased by the respondents, for the reason that in the records the area of land belonging to the petitioner is reflected as 1 acre whereas the petitioner has 10.89 acre of land.

According to the petitioner, there seems to be some error that has crept-in, on the part of the Patwari while the details were being filled in and this is causing difficulties for the petitioner to sell his paddy.

Learned State Counsel at this juncture submits that unless the records are rectified as regards the area which is the petitioner has, the paddy of the petitioner cannot be purchased. Learned State Counsel further submits that in the event if the petitioner makes a suitable application for rectification of the records so far as his agriculture land is concerned, the same shall be considered in accordance with the rules and guidelines governing the field and appropriate steps shall be taken thereafter. 4.

Given the fact, let the petitioner approach the respondents no. 2 to 4 within a period of three days from today for rectification of his records and the respondents no. 2 to 4 in turn shall decide the application for rectification within a further period of three days from the date of receipt of the said application after due verification of the claim of the petitioner.

The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of. Certified Copy today itself.
