Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had initially constructed a house over the government land for which he was served with notices on 01.12.2020 & 30.12.2020 (Collectively filed as Annexure P/2) to vacate the same. He submits that the petitioner was carrying on his business on the said property and was earning his livelihood. As per the recent policy of the State, the persons which are in the possession of the property prior to the year 2017 are being settled. Consequently, the petitioner had filed an application for settlement of land by way of lease in his favour by Annexure P/3 dated 20.01.2021 to the Collector. It is stated that the Collector may be directed to decide the said application as per the existing policy of the State. 2.

After reading of Annexure P/3 dated 20.01.2021, without further going into merits of the case, since the application has been made by the petitioner to

the Collector for grant of lease, the Collector is directed to take into account and decide the said application filed by the petitioner within an outer limit of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 3.

With the aforesaid observation/ direction, the writ petition stands disposed off.

However, the petitioner shall be at liberty to approach the Court in case of urgency, if so arises in future.
