1. The limited relief sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to the respondent No. 2 to take an appropriate decision on the application which the petitioner has filed seeking Supurdnama of vehicle No. CG/07/CA/2343.

2. According to counsel for the petitioner, the said vehicle was intercepted by the police authority and seized on the ground of alleged illegal transportation of paddy. He further submits that more than two months have elapsed, the said vehicle is lying idle. The petitioner has already moved an application on 30.11.2019 (Annexure P/1) for Supurdnama of the said vehicle before the Collector Rajnandgaon District Rajnandgaon and has also moved a reminder dated 08.01.2020 (Annexure P/2). However, till date, no order has been passed or any proceedings has been initiated, neither has there been any confiscation proceedings initiated for both

-2in respect of paddy or vehicle. He therefore prays that authority be directed to decide the claim at the earliest.

3. Counsel for the State does not have any objection for the same.

4. Given the said facts, this Court is of the opinion that, ends of justice would meet, if the writ petition itself can be disposed of directing the respondent No. 2 to decide the application of the petitioner in accordance with law at the earliest preferably within a period of 30 days.

5. The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of, with the aforesaid directions.
