Hon'ble Shri Justice P. Sam Koshy Order on Board 06.02.2019 1.

The only relief which the petitioner has sought for is for a direction to the respondents to take a final decision on the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner vide charge sheet dated 23.02.2015.

2.

According to the petitioner, the enquiry proceedings has since been completed and the enquiry officer has also submitted his report and the matter stands pending before the Disciplinary Authority for a final order to be taken, but no decision till date has been taken and the petitioner is facing the departmental enquiry for almost four years and thus, prayed for a direction to the respondents for an early conclusion of the proceedings.

3.

Considering the nature of relief sought for and factual matrix as has been stated by the petitioner, this court is of the opinion that on fruitful purpose would be served in keeping this petition pending, rather ends of justice would meet if the respondents are directed to ensure that the enquiry proceedings initiated against the petitioner is concluded and final order be passed at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from today.

4.

With the aforesaid observations the writ petition stands disposed off. Sd/- (P. Sam Koshy) Judge inder/jyoti
