(1) This is an office reference.

(2) Perused the request letter dated 15.01.2020 and datewise progress report sent by Second Additional Sessions Judge, Ambikapur, Surguja through District & Sessions Judge, Ambikapur, Surguja seeking extension of time for disposal of Sessions Trial No.84/2017.

(3) Earlier, this Court while deciding the bail application of the applicant on 18.09.2019 in M.Cr.C. No.5946/2019 ordered to the trial Court to expedite the trial and dispose of case expeditiously preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of that order.

(4) As per progress report, the trial Court on 21.10.2019 gave the next date for hearing on 13.11.2019. On 28.11.2019 the trial Court has given the next date for hearing on 24.12.2019.

Looking to the given period of four months for disposal of the said case, the trial Court could have given the short date for deciding the said case.

(5) Looking to the above mentioned facts and circumstances of the case, the trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and dispose of case expeditiously preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

(6) Accordingly, Cr.M.P. is disposed of.
