Heard learned counsel for the parties.

Through the present Public Interest Litigation, the issue of use of plastic and the environmental damage being caused to the State of Chhattisgarh was raised. The Court is grateful to the petitioner that it has brought to the attention of the Court such issue which has also galvanized the State authorities into taking action to ensure enforcement of the ban, which has been statutorily brought about. 3.

Work seems to have been done and even mechanism seems to have been put in place by the State authorities and even results of their effort have been brought on record, but all that must be converted into persistant effort to ensure that the State of Chhattisgarh can actually be rid of non-bio degradable plastics, which are used illegally.

The Public Interest Litigation stands disposed off with the observations and directions as above.
