Hon'ble Shri Justice P. Sam Koshy Order on Board 07/02/2019 1.

The limited grievance which the petitioner has raised in the present writ petition is that the petitioner was dismissed from service vide Annexure P-1 dated 30.11.2017. Against the said order, the petitioner preferred an

appeal to the appellate authority i.e. respondent no.3 on 25.01.2018 Annexure P-6 and thereafter, the petitioner has also made repeated reminders to the appellate authority but till date no decision has been taken by the appellate authority.

2.

Given the limited grievance raised by the petitioner, this Court is of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the petition pending rather ends of justice would meet if the appellate authority i.e. respondent no.3 is directed to ensure that the appeal preferred by the petitioner is decided on its merits at the earliest. Considering the fact that the order of dismissal is of November, 2017 and the appeal was preferred in January, 2018, it is expected that the appellate authority shall decide the appeal on its merit at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise the appellate authority so far as the order passed by this Court is concerned.
