1. Heard.

2. The applicant has preferred this application filed under Section 439 of the Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail as he is arrested in connection with crime No.372/2018 registered in Police Station Bhatapara (Sahar), Civil and Revenue District- Balodabazar, Bhatapara (C.G.) for the offence punishable under Section 306 of the IPC.

3. As per the prosecution case, on a dispute concerning cooking meal, applicant's wife committed suicide by pouring

kerosene oil and setting herself ablaze. In the case diary of applicant's daughter - Sofia, aged about 9 years, it was disclosed that after the deceased set herself ablaze, the applicant tried to save her by pouring water kept in a pitcher.

4. Learned counsel for the State would oppose the prayer.

5. Considering the entire fact situation of the case particularly considering the fact that the applicant is in jail since 28.11.2018 and the trial may be delayed due to unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic, this Court is inclined to release him on bail. Accordingly, the application is allowed and the applicant is directed to be released on bail on his executing a personal bond for a sum of ₹ 50,000/- with one surety for the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial Court. He is directed to appear before the trial Court on each and every date given by the said Court.
