Petitioner has preferred this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to consider her candidature and appoint her on the post of Panchayat Assistant-cum-Data Entry Operator of Gram Panchayat, Karmtara, Block Bemetara on the ground that her name was included as wait listed candidate No.1.

Shri Dembra, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that appointment of one Damini Gayakwad was cancelled, therefore, the petitioner
being the wait list candidate No.1, was entitled for appointment. 3.
Shri Pandey, learned State counsel would draw attention of the Court to the communication dated 22/07/2014, issued by the Office of District Rural Development Agency, Bemetara, informing the Gram Panchayat that the selection process for recruitment of Panchayat Assistant-cum-Data Entry Operator has been cancelled and fresh appointment be made. He would submit that the petitioner has not assailed this communication and moreover, the selection process having being cancelled, the wait list does not survive. 4.
In view of the communication issued by the District Rural Development Agency, Bemetara, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to forthwith complete the process of making recruitment on the post of Panchayat Assistant-cum-Data Entry Operator, if already not completed. It would be open for the petitioner to submit her candidature in the fresh selection process, however, if the fresh selection process is complete it shall not be reopened.
