1. The limited grievance that the petitioner has in this petition is the inaction on the part of the respondent No.2 in not deciding the appeal which the petitioner has preferred as early as on 20.12.2017.

2. According to counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner has preferred an appeal against the order passed by the Commissioner, Surguja Division, on 10.11.2017 ordering for recovery of an amount of Rs.54,710 and also passing punishment of stoppage of one annual increment without

-2cumulative effect, however, the appeal till date has not been decided by the respondent authorities.

3. Given the facts and circumstances of the case the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 to take a decision on the appeal which the petitioner has preferred in accordance with rules governing the field at the earliest preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
