The limited grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is that the respondents authorities are not considering the amount of medical expenditure incurred by the petitioner by way of medical reimbursement. 2.

The case of the petitioner is that her husband- Late Harish Kumar Patel working as Assistant Grade-III under the respondent No. 4- The Chief Municipal Officer, Nagar Panchayat, Nagri suffered some serious ailments and died in harness on 03.12.1990. In the process of his treatment, huge amount of money was spent towards medical expenditure. Subsequently, the petitioner had moved an application for medical reimbursement. The

concerned office of the Civil Surgeon-cum-Superintendent of District Hospital, Dhamtari has certified that an amount of Rs. 8,29,780/- was incurred by the petitioner in the course of his medical expenses and the said amount is also sanctioned for reimbursement, however, thereafter there has been no further development on behalf of the respondents authorities. 3.

The learned State counsel submits that since the claim of the petitioner is pending consideration, the same shall be considered and decided in accordance with the rules applicable at the earliest and if any amount is payable, the same shall also be cleared at the earliest. 4.

Given the said submission by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the counsel for the State/respondent, at this juncture the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent Nos. 2 to 4 to ensure that the claim for medical reimbursement moved by the petitioner be immediately processed and settled within a period of 60 days from today. The authorities shall scrutinize / settled the claim of the petitioner in accordance with the prescribed Rules governing the field.
