Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that petitioner's father died in harness in the year 2009 while working on the post of Assistant Veterinary Officer at Veterinary Hospital, Raigarh and now the petitioner has made an application on 23.06.2016 for grant of compassionate appointment which has been rejected by the respondent authorities on the ground of delay, against which this writ petition has been preferred.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

Be that as it may, the respondents No. 2 - Director, Veterinary And Animal Husbandry, Raigarh is directed to consider and decide the petitioner's representation for grant of compassionate appointment expeditiously preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
