1. Primarily the prayer would show that the relief in this petition is for payment of gratuity. If it is so, the payment of gratuity are governed under the Gratuity Act wherein the petitioner can very well approach the competent controlling authority to redress his grievance. Since the statutory alternative remedy is available, I am not inclined to entertain this petition.

2. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of with liberty to avail the alternative remedy available to him under the law.
