Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the land of the petitioner was acquired for construction of the road and drainage system and the assessment of the value of the land of the petitioner was arrived at Rs.2,70,000/- and the SDO, Raipur by communication dated August, 2018 (Annexure P-4) has asked the Executive Engineer to prepare the cheque in the name of the person in whose name the land is recorded. Learned counsel submits that thereafter the petitioner has made several representations, however the compensation has not been given.

Considering the letter of August, 2018 written by the SDO, Raipur wherein

the assessment of the compensation of the petitioner has been made. Since it is been stated that the amount still has not been disbursed to the petitioner, respondents No.1 and 2 are directed to release the assessed compensation as per their letter to the petitioner and of any person entitled there too as per revenue records within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of this order. It is further observed that the non payment of the amount shall further carry 12% interest from the date of acquisition of the possession.
