1. The challenge in the present writ petition is to the order of transfer dated 14.08.2017 whereby the petitioner has been transferred from Baikunth, Tilda to Deepika, Korba.

2. This court, at the time of hearing the petition on admission vide order dated 09.10.2017 has granted interim protection to the petitioner. By virtue of the interim order granted on 09.10.2017, the petitioner continues to work at his original place of posting i.e. at Baikunth, Tilda.

3. Given the fact that more than two years have been lapsed since then, this court is of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping this petition pending and it would also be not fruitful asking the respondent authorities to insist and comply upon the impugned order of transfer dated 14.08.2017 which was issued more than two year back.

4. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of. The respondents are restrained from complying with the order dated 14.08.2017 so far as posting of the petitioner at Baikunth, Tilda is concerned. However, right stands reserved for the respondents to pass a fresh order on administrative exigency, if need arises.
