Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that although arrears of salary/remuneration has been paid to the petitioners, yet interest on the said amount has not been paid. Learned counsel would submit that in a similar case WP (S) No.2358 of 2015 (Manas Kumar Rath v. President Child Education Society & Others), wherein this Court had directed the respondents to decide the representation of the said petitioners, they have been paid arrears of salary/remuneration along with interest.

In view of the above, both the writ petitions are disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to prefer representations claiming interest on the arrears of salary/remuneration before the respondent No.3, within a
period of one month from today. The said authority shall consider and decide petitioners' representation by a speaking order, at the earliest, preferably within a period of three months from the date of submission of the representation.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the respondent authorities shall decide the matter, on its own merits, strictly in accordance with law, without treating any observation made in this order, as opinion on the merits of the case.
