1. This writ petition has been preferred seeking direction to the respondents for granting promotion to the petitioner w.e.f. 1996 with all consequential benefits.

2. On the previous date of hearing it was informed by Shri K. Shakeel, learned counsel appearing for respondent/CSIDC that five corporations namely; MP State Textile Corporation, MP State Financial Corporation, MP Laghu Udyog Corporation, MP

WPS No. 464 of 2009 Export Corporation and MP State Industries Corporation were merged in the CG State Industrial Development Corporation Limited which by itself was the successor Corporation of the erstwhile MP Laghu Udyog Nigam, Raipur. It was also informed that since employees and officers were drawn from each of those corporation various difficulties were forthcoming in granting promotion on account of difference in designation and pay scale.

3. On 21.11.2019 this Court directed CSIDC to make specific submissions as to the nature of difficulties in the pending Writ Petition or otherwise. The CSIDC has filed submission memo stating that in order to speed up process of rationalization of different posts a committee comprising of one member each from the merged Corporations has been constituted for recommending steps for rationalization so that the issue of consideration for promotion be expedited.

4. In view of the submission made by CSIDC, it may not be appropriate to keep this petition pending, therefore, the petition is disposed of with direction to the CSIDC to expedite the meeting of the rationalizing committee and finalize the issue for promotion at the earliest.
