The limited relief of the petitioner is that the respondent Nos. 1 & 2 be directed to take appropriate decision on the representation filed by the petitioner in respect of the delayed promotion granted to him on the post of Professor in terms of the Rules & Circulars issued by the State Government from time to time. The limited prayer is not opposed by the State counsel. 2.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of directing the respondent Nos. 1 & 2 to take an appropriate decision on the representation
