A short issue which arises for consideration in this case is with regard to petitioner's claim of renewal of his licence . Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that against the order of the Collector, refusing to renew petitioners' licence, appeal was preferred before the Coommissioner who allowed the appeal and directed renewal of licence for a period of 3 years. The respondent authorities were not complying with the direction of renewal primarily because of a dispute with regard to land, pending before the Board of Revenue. He submits that later on, the Board of Revenue has also finalized the proceedings and there remains no hurdle towards execution of order of the Commissioner for renewal of petitioners' licence.

In view of the above, this petition is finally disposed off with a direction that appropriate order shall be passed by the Licensing Authority/Collector in the matter of renewal of licence as per order passed by the Commissioner within a period of 3 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
