This contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 26-07-2017 passed in WPS No. 4057/2016. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the taking note of petitioner's submission that the impediment in consideration of petitioner's case for promotion has come to an end, the petition was disposed off with a direction to consider promotion in accrodance with law. 3.

It is alleged that even after more than seven months, the petitioner has not heard anything about consideration of his case for promotion. 4.

While disposing off the writ petition it was stated that respondents may consider the case of the petitioner in accordance with the law. Though no specific time limit was given. The respondents ought to have examined petitioner's claim within reasonable time. Since more than seven months has elapsed, at this stage though, I am not inclined to issue any notice. It is observed that in case, within further period of two months, no consideration

takes place, the petitioner may file substantive petition for issuance of specific directions.
