Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the respondents have since complied with the order to the extent of releasing an amount which was deducted from the gratuity payable to the petitioner to the tune of Rs. 4,55,917/- and respondents have also cancelled the order of recovery initiated against the petitioner.

Counsel for the respondents further submits that the payment of interest part shall be done at the earliest as the state Counsel makes a positive statement.

Given the aforesaid statement made by the counsel for the respondents and also taking into consideration that the recovered amount has since been released to the petitioner, this Court is of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the contempt petition

pending accordingly the contempt petition stands disposed of, expecting the respondents to release the interest part also at the earliest. 4.

Needless to mention it shall be open for the petitioner to approach this court if respondent fails to comply with the remaining part of the order within a reasonable period.
