The petitioner's grievance is that though the petitioner has been duly regularized on the post of Store Keeper in the services of Nagar Panchayat Kota, his claim for grant of appropriate pay scale and arrears of salary has remained undecided till date. He further submits that the Chief Municipal Officer, Nagar Panchayat has already referred the case of the petitioner to the Director Urban Administration & Development vide memo dated 16.05.2017 followed by memo dated 28.06.2017 but till date, the matter has not been decided one way or the other.

Learned State counsel would submit that if the case of the petitioner has not been finally decided by the Director till date, the same would be decided within a reasonable period.

Without commenting upon the merits of the case, considering that communication has already been made by the Nagar Panchayat to the Director for appropriate instructions/guidelines in the matter, it would be appropriate to dispose off the matter at this stage with direction to respondent No.2 to examine and issue necessary instructions/guidelines to the concerned Nagar Panchayat in the matter of petitioner's claim for fixation of pay and arrears of salary. In the fitness of things, the matter be decided within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
