1. The petitioner is challenging her non-selection and selection of respondent No.4 as Panchayat Assistant cum Data Entry Operator, Gram Panchayat Shardapur (E), Janpad Panchayat, Wadrafnagar, District Balrampur.

2. Under the extant guidelines governing such appointment, the petitioner has alternative remedy of preferring an appeal under the provisions of Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Adhiniyam, 1993, as provided in clause-15 of

the guidelines.

3. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction that in the event the petitioner prefers an appeal before the appellate authority within a period of 30 days from today, the said authority shall consider and decide the appeal on its own merit, in accordance with law, after giving opportunity of hearing to all parties concerned, at the earliest, preferably within a period of 6 months from the date of presentation of appeal.
