1. The limited grievance which the petitioner has raised in the present writ petition is that though the petitioner retired from service w.e.f 31/10/2017 on the post of Forest Range Officer. Though more than 15 months have passed, the petitioner has not been paid any amount due to him on his retirement except for a portion of the GPF amount.

2. Given the limited grievance which the petitioner has raised, let respondents No. 2 & 3 process the case of the petitioner at the earliest preferably within a period of 2 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order and ensure that the dues payable to the petitioner is released to him. In case, if the petitioner is not in any

manner responsible for the delay caused, the respondents are directed to ensure that the petitioner is also paid interest on the delayed amount from the date it fell due till the date of payment at the rate of 9% per annum. The respondents would also be at liberty to recover the interest part from the erring officer who have not timely processed the case of the petitioner for early release of the retiral dues.
