This writ petition has been preferred challenging the order passed by the Collector, Rajnandgaon on 09/12/2014 in appellate jurisdiction under Section 91 of the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Adhiniyam, 1993. The said appeal was preferred by the petitioner challenging the order dated 01/05/2014 passed by the Chief Executive Officer, Janpad Panchayat, Khairagarh.

Admittedly the order impugned is revisable under the provision contained in Section 91 of the Adhiniyam, 1993 read with Rule 5 of

Chhattisgarh Appeal and Revision Rules, 1995. Thus, the petitioner has a statutory alternative remedy available to him. 3.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction that in the event petitioner prefers revision application before the revisional authority within a period of one month, the said authority shall consider and decide the revision application on its own merits, after hearing all the parties concern within a period of six months.
