(2) Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the departmental enquiry/disciplinary proceeding against the petitioner has already been concluded by the respondents but the respondents are not taking a final decision in the said proceeding and promotion is withheld. Against which, he has made representation before the respondent authorities which has not been considered and decided by the respondent authorities till this date.

(3) Be that as it may, respondents No.1 & 2 are directed to take a decision on the pending departmental enquiry against the petitioner who is said to have been completed, in accordance with law preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

(4) With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
