AWARD Dated : 12-12-2015 The contesting parties to this appeal have amicably settled/compromised the dispute, which is subject matter of this appeal, voluntarily. We have also found that the terms and conditions of compromise/settlement arrived at between the contesting parties are just, proper and legal and hence are acceptable. We accordingly accept the compromise/settlement, proposed by the parties. Counsel for the parties submit that as per the compromise, the interest was only if the amount is not paid by the appellant / respondent - Insurance Company within a period of two months, and therefore, the award needs modification. The respondent No.
3 - Insurance Company, in addition to the awarded amount of compensation by the learned Tribunal, shall pay the claimant(s) a sum of Rs.1,65,000/-(Rupees One Lac sixty five thousand only) within a period of two months from today i.e. 12-12-2015, failing which, the amount shall carry interest @ 6% per annum on the enhanced amount from the date of application till its actual payment.
