Grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner though joined the services in the year 1973 but inadvertently the joining of service has been shown in the records of the respondents as 1976. Consequently, 3 years benefit has not been granted which includes increase in the payment of retiral dues.

Learned counsel for the petitioner refers to the letter dated 03.08.2019 Annexure P-6 and would submit that the respondent Chief Forest Conservator has accepted the fact that the petitioner had joined on 02.04.1973 whereas the pay fixation date has wrongly been shown as 06.05.1976; therefore, the respondents may be directed to verify the aforesaid fact within the stipulated time.

Perused the document Annexure P-6, which is a departmental communication, wherein at para 2 the communication has been made that the petitioner had joined the duties on 02.04.1973. Considering the same, the respondents are directed to take into the contents of the communication dated 03.08.2019, which is inter se communication between the department and take the appropriate steps within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If it is found that the petitioner had joined services on 02.04.1973 as per the communication Annexure P-6, the benefit of the same may be accorded to him.
