1. The limited relief that the petitioner has sought for in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the Respondent No. 3 to decide the application, which the petitioner has filed seeking for release of the land over which the petitioner is in possession.

2. The limited relief sought for by the petitioner, is not opposed by the State counsel. However, he submits that the only objection to the petition is to the extent that no details of the right conferred upon the petitioner has been reflected from the pleadings in the writ petition.

Given the said facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet, if the writ petition is disposed off with a direction to the Respondent No. 2 and 3 to consider the claim of the petitioner for grant of release of land over which he is in possession in-accordance-with law, subject to his fulfilling all other requisite eligibility criteria, if any.

4. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the claim of the petitioner and the merits of the case. The authorities would be at liberty to decide the same purely in-accordance with law.
