The limited relief that Petitioner is seeking in the present Writ Petition is in respect of arrears of payment of revised pay scale for the period between 24.6.2013 to 9.8.2018.

Learned Counsel for Petitioner submits that the husband of Petitioner was working under Respondents on the post of Lecturer (Panchayat). He completed 8 years of service on 24.6.2013 and therefore he was entitled for the benefit of revised pay scale with effect from 24.6.2013. However, the revised pay scale was granted to him only on 9.8.2018. He meanwhile died in harness on 2.8.2018. The present Writ Petition therefore has been filed by the widow of the deceased employee, that is the Petitioner, claiming for arrears from the date her husband completed 8 years of service till the payment of revised pay scale was released on 9.8.2018.

Given the limited grievance that the Petitioner has, the present Writ Petition at this juncture is disposed of directing Respondents No. 2 & 3 to consider the claim of Petitioner in accordance with law and in parity with other similarly placed persons, at the earliest, preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
