1. The grievance of the petitioner from the pleadings appears that of non granting of salary for the period during which the petitioner remained on leave on medical ground.

2. According to the petitioner, because of some ailment, he remained absent from duty on medical ground on different dates intermittently since 2012 onwards.

3. Subsequently, the petitioner has moved an appropriate application to the concerned officer for grant of medical leave and releasing his salary for the said period .

4. The contention of the petitioner from his pleadings seems that the representation made by him till date has not been finalised.

5. Given the grievance of the petitioner, this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if respondents 2 & 3 are directed to verify

the service record of the petitioner and peruse the documents which the petitioner has adduced for availing medical leave and an appropriate decision be taken in accordance to the Rules at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is ordered accordingly.

6. With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands disposed off.

7. It is made clear that this court has not expressed any opinion on the entitlement of the petitioner and the authority concerned would consider the case of the petitioner strictly in accordance with the leave rules applicable.
