(1) Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners have been promoted by order dated 02.12.2014 and they have joined where they have been promoted but no salary for the promoted post has been paid to them, though they are working on the promoted post, against which they made representation to the respondents authorities, but the same has not been decided till now and, therefore, they may be permitted to file fresh representation to the competent authority and the same may be directed to be decided within the specific time frame.

(2) Prayer appears to be fair & reasonable.

(3) Be that as it may, if the petitioners file fresh representations to the respondents authorities for redressal of their grievances within a period of two weeks from today, it is directed to be decided by the authority concerned expeditiously preferably within a period of 45 days from the receipt thereof.

(4) With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition stands finally disposed of.

(5) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the authority concerned are free to decide the representation of the petitioner on its own merit in accordance with law.
