Versus

1. Regional Transport Authority, Chhattisgarh, Raipur

2. Prempal Singh, S/o Chandrabhan Singh, Station Road, Durg (CG) ---- Respondents ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For Petitioner : Mr.Raja Sharma, Advocate ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hon'ble Shri Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal Order on Board /12/2016

1. The Regional Transport Authority rejected the application of respondent No.2 for grant of permit. Respondent No.2 filed an appeal before the State Transport Administrative Tribunal. The State Transport Administrative Tribunal set aside the order of the Regional Transport Authority and remanded the matter to the Regional Transport Authority.

2. Again, the Regional Transport Authority rejected the same. Thereafter, respondent No.2 again filed an appeal before the State Transport Administrative Tribunal, which was allowed by the State Transport Administrative Tribunal and granted permit in favour of respondent No.2 without impleading the petitioner as a party. Against which, this writ petition has been filed.

3. I have heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the order impugned.

4. Permit was granted up to 8.10.2014. Since the period for which

permit was granted has already been expired, the writ petition has become infructuous and it is dismissed as having become infructuous. However, the petitioner is at liberty to make an objection on renewal of respondent No.2, if so advised or to challenge the renewal, if any, before the competent forum. No order as to cost(s).
