Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner being daughter of the convict- Balwan Singh has filed an application for grant of leave to his

father/prisoner under the Chhattisgarh Prisoner's Leave Rules, 1989 before the competent authority. The said application is pending consideration and has not been considered and decided by the District Magistrate since 15/01/2014.

Be that as it may, the District Magistrate, Bilaspur is directed to consider and take decision on the petitioner's application expeditiously preferably within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of copy of the order along with application of the petitioner. 3.

Copy of this order be sent to the Jail Superintendent (Central Jail) Bilaspur for needful compliance.

With the aforesaid observation/direction, writ petition stands finally disposed of.
