The present MCC has been filed seeking extension of time for complying of the Order dated 17.07.2019 passed in WPS No. 5220 of 2019.
It is relevant to mention that the present applicant had on an earlier occasion challenged the aforesaid Order dated 17.07.2019 by way of a writ appeal i.e. Writ Appeal No. 543 of 2019, which finally stood rejected on 21.01.2020 and the appellant/applicant was directed to take an appropriate decision at the earliest.
Subsequently, the present MCC now has been filed seeking extension of time, more than 7 1⁄2 months have lapsed from date when the order having been issued and the direction given by this Court was only that of taking a decision on the claim of the petitioners seeking confirmation in service.
Given the nature of order and also considering the fact that the writ appeal has recently been disposed off on 21.01.2020, ends of justice would meet, if the applicant is further granted 45 days for deciding the claim of the respondents no. 2 to 14 in accordance with law. Accordingly, the MCC Stands allowed, the applicant herein is directed to take a decision within further 45 days. Sd/- (P. Sam Koshy) JUDGE Rahul
