1. The limited grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the inaction on the part of the respondent No. 1 in not deciding the departmental appeal that the petitioner has preferred in the light of the order of the Supreme Court dated 03.07.2018.

Considering the fact that the appeal has been duly accepted by the respondents and it has also been heard by the respondent No. 1, at this juncture, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent No. 1 to ensure that the appeal of the petitioner is decided on its own merits in accordance with the Rules governing the field at the earliest preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
